Thinking For Your Credit Business
We talked about the need for the online entrepreneur to think for his business success. Thinking about your client especially in the credit business is important. However, as most credit companies know, the biggest challenge that they have is not clients who wish to get credit, but their marketing and sales personel high turnover rates.
Maybe the problem is not the client but me the seller. So I have to take a breath and think about some of the things I can do better to improve on my business performance.
1. How Can I be a Better Presenter
The first time I presented my self was in a job interview. Somehow, we manage to get up early, dress up and even rehearse some of the things we are going to say in a job interview. How come we don’t do the same for each and every presentation we have for new clients. So many a times I have found myself in a situation where I could have answered a simple question had I simply prepared myself for 10 minutes.
2. How Did I Better Myself Today
It is not enough to do well. One must endeavor to always perform better than they did yesterday. Laying down on your past glory is a surefire way to be beaten my your competition. I make it a point to remind people that if my sales were high yesterday, I still need to work on today. Did I work more effieciently with the same tools I had yesterday was I worse? Is there something that I can learn in order to make my work easier.
Improving oneself is essential in nature. Failing to do so just encourages younger and more hungry competitors going for your clients.
3. How Can I Serve My Clients Better ?
If you are satisfied with how you serve your clients, then you are about to lose your clients. Credit clients are fickle and are always looking for a way to stop the current payment plans for other easier plans. I personally never stop shopping for new and better credit terms so what makes my clients any different?
Trying to find better credit packages for your clients is part of your job and duty and will actually increase the sales to your organization.
4. Did I get a Referral Today
We all know that referrals are what runs the credit business. Referrals are hard to get and if your are a bad business person, they are impossible to get. Good customer service will in the long run give you endless referrals . The more referrals you get the lower your advertising costs and the more time you have to get even more referrals.
But business is a two way street. If you are getting referrals, you should also endeavor to give referrals. I am free with referrals. If I found someone, who’s work I liked, I am very liberal in giving a helping hand to someone like that. Next thing you know, you are also getting referrals from them, what can be better than that.?
The credit business is tough but with a lot of hard work and lot’s of thinking, you can only get better.
