A true leader is one who inspires his people to get better ,not just to follow orders. When you hire your own workers and expect them to do well, you should also think about how to encourage them to do better without putting them down.
You should also consider your clients as people who need to also be motivated. But how do you motivate your clients? This is where thinking and acting comes in. I sometimes have to sit down and think of a few things before I can do what I need to do to improve my business.
1. How can I get new clients.
Most people are very excited about getting clients. However, after sometime and especially in businesses where you get repeat customers, one is not thinking of getting new clients. However, for a business to grow, the acquisition of new clients is mandatory. Do you need to change your website design? Do you need to add another location to your business? Do you need to add more sales and marketing personnel?
Take some time and think about this every day.
2. How Does my clientele benefit from my Product ?
If your customers do not benefit from your product, they will leave. It is a common mistake to believe that once you have a great new gagdet, everyone will be begging to buy from you. If your customers do not benefit from a product, they will not buy from you. It does not matter how cool your product is, if someone can not derive any use or benefit from your product all they will do is tell you how great it looks but they will not be buying it.
3. Are my clients loyal to me ?
Loyal customers translate to happy customers which means more profits for your business. If you are a lawyer who is being sued by one of your clients, most of your customers will leave you. However, if you had been a great lawyer to them before , they will most likely stay with you .I have seen a lawyer, whose clients actually won a case when they told the judge in no uncertain terms that ,their lawyer was honest . Go figure .
