As an internet marketer, social media websites always seem to amaze me. Sites such as facebook and twitter seem to have a life of their own.
I use facebook a lot for my internet marketing and for a while I thought that it would take sometime for it to catch on in third world countries. However, facebook seems to have caught on in Kenya big time.
Last week Kenyans on facebook made an otherwise stupid news item big. Apparently some TV anchor had joined a cult and the news grew like wild fire. It was as if someone had removed the window blinds to cult activity in Kenya.
I will not go into the story, just google it and see how powerful facebook has become in terms of marketing in Kenya.
