I confess, I love starbucks more than I love dunkin donuts. For a Bostonian to admit of such heresy, it means that times have changed. I can now come out of the closet and really enjoy my frapuccino or whatever they call it.

For a long time, I used to pretend that the only reason I entered a starbucks was because I had to buy coffee for my kids. Granted, I can’t even pronounce half the coffees but I have come to love it.

It is obvious that a frapuccino can not in anyway be considered as a top rated diet pills. But who are we fooling here. It tastes good. The fact that they are actually buying the coffee direct from the farmer rather than the middlemen makes me also have a clear social conscience.

Now that they are going to be found in grocery stores, I have no fear of being called elitist or a hob knobber. I can enjoy my coffee anytime I feel like it.
