sometime last week I posted about the need for great customer service in any company or organisation. I never knew how fast my comments will ring true.
This week a major corporation in Kenya was faced with a blogger who had had enough of them. The blogger complained about the lack of customer service by the big corporation in a major Kenyan forum.
Lo and behold, the company sent some uncouth reps to attack the blogger on the forum. It was like slowly watching thermogenic fat burners in your living room. The post went viral all over the net.
In a few hours, the company was made to admit liability as well as solve the blogger’s issue. The damage had already been done. The company is now scampering to repair an image that took 10 years to build.
Trust me the internet is a powerful tool.
