Teenage is rocky, unpredictable and at times very chaotic. The ideas that teenagers have about life are basically out of this world and anything they call cool is more often than not questionable. The biggest and oldest problem of teenage is drug abuse. This is coupled with problems of rehabilitation from the drugs especially if habit escalates to fully fledged addiction.

Finding a good teen’s rehabilitation center requires a lot of patience research and a lot of consulting. I can take days weeks or even months. The hardest part is convincing the teenager that he needs help and that rehabilitation from teenage addiction is for his own benefit.

The next big step in teenage drug rehabilitation is the actual rehabilitation. It requires more will power than you can ever imagine. Staying through the whole teen drug rehabilitation process is one big step and one that is basically commendable.

We should not under estimate the power of drug addiction and the eventual hurdles experienced in combating it. We should appreciate our teenagers and ensure we try our best to keep them out of trouble.

I have been struggling with setting goals that work, and every beginning of the a new year, like many others, I sit down and come up with a blue print for the rest of the year.

It is usually a detailed do list which doubles as a work plan for the rest of the year.By the end of the year, I find just a third of the items of the list done. So this year, I purposed to review the list after the six months.

A glance at the calender, confirmed my worst fears, the year is already past the half way mark, and my to do list has only two items marked completed out of the ten that were supposed to have been done by now.

Meaning that if I continue with this trend, this year will be no different from last year.

It has dawned on me,how far fetched these goals were, to say the least. I was overly ambitious and was excepting too much from myself. So i have reviewed them goals soberly this time using this acronym as a guideline. SMARTER

S: Specific -Clear and precise

M: Measurable – Quantifiable

A: Achievable – Realistic

R: Relevant – Part of everything else I am doing

T: Timed – Define time of completion

E: Evaluated – Check progress as I move along, to stay on course and complete

R: Reported – Record achieved milestones

With this my goals are more clearly defined and I look forward to opening a bottle of champagne in December, having hit my mark.

Have you ever been in a place in your life where nothing seems to add up? Everything you touch somehow goes to the dogs. Till recently I was not a firm believer in miracles. For me, your fate had to have been determined long before you were born.

Once more I have been proved wrong. Life is what you make it. Have you ever heard people saying that your fate lies in your hands is true, for real. By some divine connection, this year I got linked with a brilliant group of people and my life has just changed overnight and in a good way. Through hard work, God’s favor, patience and humility all our efforts are starting to pay up and now I can dream again.

Success has a way of inspiring dreams, beautiful dreams with a bright future for my family and you know what I owe it all to God. This is a good place to be at, especially when I consider what the last few years were like with the economy down turn and my business closing down. I am glad to have held on and worked hard. I know to get to where my dreams are taking me, I have to work extra hard but you know what bring it on; I am all geared for it.

It may be true what some people believe, that you must give up something to achieve balance in life. But this doesn’t work for everyone. In order to achieve balance, one needs to look at everything that is going on in their life. Ask yourself the following questions;

· Are there things that you currently do that can be delegated to others?

· Are there things in your life that, when you take a really close look, are not important? If so, why are you doing them?

· Are there things in your life that are ‘time wasters’?

· Are there things you are doing that you really hate?

· Are you a, “Yes, I’ll do that for you” person?

· Do you have a hard time saying, “No”?

Write down everything you do and take time to evaluate what is important to you. Once you have figured out what is really important in your life, you can progress. Now plan out your day, week, month etc like it was a physical space. If you jam your day, then you are on the road to an unbalanced life.

To achieve balance, decide who is going to do the ‘work’ and who can assist to you. The important part is to book yourself time so that you ensure you are having balance (a date night, a yoga class, a time to go to the gym). Most people make a doctor’s appointment or a mentor’s appointment and will keep that appointment. Why not make an appointment with yourself? Be faithful to yourself and keep that appointment!

I bet life would be so much easier for men if only they could figure out women. Every man wonders what a woman is all about. What is a woman looking for in a man? What does she really want? There are certain qualities in a man that every woman will find irresistible. Is it possible for any man to attract any woman? Yes it is. However, this will require deliberate effort in a man to master the top qualities that woman finds attractive. Here are the top 3 qualities that will attract any woman to any man.

Confidence

Nothing is more attractive to a woman than a confident man. A man confident in who he is, where he is and where he is going. No woman wants a man who is not comfortable with himself, having low self esteem. A man who is lost and has no idea where he is going will score very low in the woman’s list of favorites. Confidence in a man makes a woman feel secure and settled. She knows that this man is headed somewhere good with his life and she wants to be there with him. Confidence shows in the way a man carries himself and in his view about the future.

Friendship

Women are relational beings. They love to talk and share their feelings and thoughts with someone who genuinely listens to them and cares about what they have to say. A man has to learn to be friends with a woman, genuinely interested in her, not just the sexual aspect of the relationship. No relationship between a man and a woman will last without friendship. They have to be able to hang out, laugh together, cry together and share their lives.

Commitment

We commit to what we value. Your level of commitment to any relationship shows the value you place in that person. It is every girl’s fantasy to find her knight in shinning armour who will rescue her, and they will live happily ever after. Granted, life is not a fairy tale, but commitment is a characteristic that will guarantee any man a top position in a woman’s life. A woman will find a man attractive when she knows she can count on him to be there. Any men out there looking to attract that woman? Keep these 3 characteristics in mind and you will find yourself turning heads every where you go.

From senior citizens, to teenagers and everyone in between, bucket lists are becoming a way of expressing, and achieving, one’s goals in life. Here are five great bucket list ideas:

1. Sky Diving

There’s nothing quite like it, the rush experienced while free-falling through the air thousands of feet up. It is unforgettable and will prove a very happy memory. If at all possible, be sure to do it, you will not regret it.

2. Riding a Roller Coaster

Thrill rides are an excellent way to inject some excitement into your life. The rush is unforgettable as the adrenaline starts coursing through your veins. It is like nothing else, so go out and find the largest, scariest and downright most intimidating roller coaster you can find. It is an experience you will not soon forget.

3. Attend a Championship Sporting Event

Whether it is the Super Bowl, the World Series or the World Cup, attending a championship sporting event is an experience like none other. The roar of the crowd, the energy all around, it is a once in a lifetime feeling.

4. Run a Marathon

It is not easy, in fact, most cannot do it, but running a marathon can prove one of the greatest achievements of your life. It does not matter if you take first or last, just run one. The cheers of the crowd all around and the unforgettable high of running can combine to make it a wonderful experience, not to mention the overwhelming happiness when you cross the finish line.

5. Fall in Love

Falling in love is an experience that has no equal. The rush of sky diving and the energy of a championship sporting event simply cannot compare to what it feels like to fall in love. It is something everyone needs to experience.

I remember sometime last year I posted about my visit to Tanzania and Kenya. They are lovely places to vacation to. However, in Kenya and especially the coastal town of Mtwapa, there is a serious issue with drug addiction.

From one of the most beautiful towns in the world, Mtwapa has become the bedrock of drug addiction in Africa. Forget the halfway houses in Boston, this town has whole warehouses full of drug addicts 24 hours a day. It is a very sorry state, made worse by the fact that there is only one drug rehabilitation center in the whole area.

In other words they need help. After a recent crackdown on drug barons in Kenya, there are less drugs in the streets. Unfortunately, this has led to serious withdrawal symptoms for the addicts which have led to the death of some of them. They do not have the luxury of a 12 step or non 12 step program.

Very sad indeed. Especially since no one seems to want to help these poor people.

I know I have to work this week in order to achieve my goals. So how come I just can’t seem to keep to the program?

I have read a lot of books on success and finding success in life. The problem I have seen is that if one spends a lot of time reading, you may never do what you are supposed to do. For example, I need to make about $500 this week to pay my bills. I have seen that in order to achieve that, I need to increase my workload.

So why is it that every time i start working on the project, I end up doing something else. Is it that I am lazy, or is the project just boring?

Maybe it’s the whole issue of doing something that you don’t like in order to achieve a goal that you want. If anyone has an idea on how one can keep to the program, feel free to tell me.

1. Choose One thing You Want-This is essentially the most funnest factor eeevvvar as my teenage cousin says. Principally, choose something you need in your life, one thing you wish to change. In this economic system, I believe money is a common desire, so we’ll use that as our example. Decide one thing pretty particular, so on this case, I would like $250,000 in my financial institution account.

Now lots of people say that you must pick a time line, however I discover this to be troublesome, as different needs can take completely different occasions, if we were using relationships as our instance, after taking the steps, you might meet the perfect associate the following day, or 6 months down the street, and placing a time restrict on that can be extra detrimental. But for cash, it does work, so I would like my quarter of a million dollars by my subsequent birthday, in Could of 2011, as of this writing it’s September of 2010. So we now have what self-assist guru to the gurus, Napoleon Hill, referred to as a “Definite Main Goal”

 2. Start flooding your mind with the RIGHT information. This is my favorite part, by daydreaming, studying, listening to CDs, and even watching TV. You need three kinds of data put in to your subconscious. Technical-the tips on how to on what you want to accomplish, in this case, books and audiobooks about how you can make money.

Inspirational-For our example, I might read books about what it is like to be rich, perhaps autobiographies by wealthy people like Donald Trump and Sam Wyly. And the big one, Philosophical-books like “The Science of Getting Wealthy” and “Assume and Grow Rich” which point to the correct thought processes to have to achieve your goal.

 3. The ultimate step, and the one so many neglect, take ACTION!!! You possibly can read all the books you need on investing within the inventory market or real property, or starting your own business, but if you do not take the steps, like investing real money, or starting you good business concept, you’ll by no means, and I repeat, NEVER, obtain your goal.

What action do you tackle a purpose that is not financial, say you’re a single guy and also you wish to meet somebody special? How about asking somebody out, establishing a profile on a dating website, and even asking a friend to introduce you to someone. There may be at all times an action you may take, and with the RAS reprogrammed to let in all the information that can assist you achieve your aim, the actions you’ll give you shall be innumerable.

One of the fastest ways to change your life situation is to change how you feel. The fastest way to change how you feel is to pay attention to your mind – your thoughts. Once you start thinking about something that doesn’t feel good or positive, your mind will most likely want to maintain focus on that, which will cause a downward spiral of energy.

Another way to help yourself make this change is to pay attention to your environment. Remember that your environment is directly connected to you and reflects what is going on in your life. To help yourself feel good and focus on more positive thoughts, here are a few things you can do at home (and in your work space) that will help a lot:

Clear the clutter and organize – it’s hard to feel good when you’re surrounded by things you don’t need, use, want or love. Or when the things you do need, use want and love are so disorganized that you can’t find them!

Remove items that have negative memories and associations – take a good look at the things you’re surrounding yourself with. How do you feel about them? What memories do they evoke for you? If you surround yourself with things that remind you of a difficult time in your life, of people who treated you badly, or remind you of struggle and lack, it will be very hard to stay positive with all that negative energy around you.

Surround yourself with things that you love – do you love your desk, your bed, your chair, the pictures on your walls, etc.? The more you choose things that represent who you are now (not who you were in the past) and that you absolutely love, the higher the energy vibration will be in your home – which means you’ll feel great more of the time. Every time you walk into your home, it will help to uplift you.

Add color to your home – I know, we’re told that if we ever want to sell our house it should be painted in neutral colors. But that doesn’t mean that it all has to be neutral while you’re living there now. If your home feels neutral, so will your life – it will lack excitement. So add some color to help change your energy.

Remove broken or unfinished items – if it’s broken either fix it or let it go. Anything that’s broken or not finished affects your energy, which affects how you feel, which affects what comes to you in life.
