I was looking a my paychecks from all my work last month and I came to a shocking realisation.

I am making most of my money from less than 20% of my job!

The jobs where I am spending most of my time doing are not making anywhere even 50% of my higher paying jobs. You can imagine my shock and surprise especially when I added commute time in my costs.

For example, I got a nice gig writing for a certain blog their debt and finance articles. I write just one article a day and it takes me 30 to 45 minutes to do it. All I do is turn on my computer and write what I feel like. When I converted that to dollars per hour, I found I am making 3 times more on that one gig than on my usual day job.

Mmmhhh. I got busy and realised that I am very poor at time management. If I was to concentrate on the jobs where I make the most per ounce of effort, I would be very rich very quickly. I would also be very happy doing it.

Think about it. What are you working on now that is costing you more money because you are spending the time doing it?

I will be going through my workload and figure out what jobs I need to remove and which I will keep.
